SPAN 202: Intermediate II Spanish

When I began this course, I had not been in a Spanish class since my sophomore year of high school, two years before.  Spanish had always been a subject that I struggled in, and my memories of feeling frustrated and incompetent in high school Spanish classes made me very worried leading up to SPAN 202.  To my surprise, the way it was taught at Longwood helped me gain knowledge and confidence on a level that far surpassed that of my previous experiences, and I decided to minor in Spanish by the end of the semester.

Below is a brief example of the many writing assignments we completed for the class.  This one is an analysis of the poem “Cabra Sola” by Spanish poet Gloria Fuertes.
