This was another honors class I had taken with Dr. Dudley-Shotwell, but I took it during the second semester of my freshman year. The history class was based on history from 1877 to present times. I came into this class feeling very comfortable as I had the same professor last semester and I have gained a lot of knowledge on history from those times because of my classes before I came to college. While it was a lot of work, I did not struggle at all and ended up participating a lot during our daily class discussions. This class really helped me to strengthen my public speaking and participation skills as it added onto what I had learned from Citizen 110 the semester before. Now I can confidently say that I have become much more outgoing and have learned to not be shy anymore when it comes to participating in class discussions.

The artifact I chose for this class was our final project. It consisted of us creating our own Buzzfeed article that included an overall topic from our history class with seven different subcategories. We had to pull from all of our primary and secondary sources we had annotated throughout the semester and incorporate them into our projects. While it was a project heavily loaded with content from our class, it allowed for us to be creative when it came to designing our template and choosing how to set up our multiple different categories and topics.
