This was one of my honors classes I took my first semester of my freshman year. At the beginning, I was really scared about this class just based off of the title of the course: The Early History of Gods. I am not the most religious person so I was nervous that I would not do well in the class because I lacked a lot of religious background. The first half of the semester was a little rough as I did not understand the content super well and I couldn’t figure out how to participate in class to get credit for that. However, I ended up going to professor Issacs office hours a lot in order to get help and in return I started to do better in the class. I slowly learned how to jump in and get my thoughts out so I could participate in class, and I began to do better on my essays. Overall I ended up with an A- in the class and was able to grow tremendously from getting his help outside of class. The one, most important lesson I learned in this class was to take a shot at participating without being scared even if you think you’re wrong because a lot of the time you know more than you think you actually do.

Title: Semester “Time” Project

The artifact I chose for this class was our final project paper. We had to write a narrative paper that consisted of time traveling back to a period we had discussed in our class. I chose Ancient Rome as my topic and had my three roommates and I be the main characters of the story. This project allowed for us to show our creativity and imagination while at the same time integrating a lot of the core content from our class into our paper.
