I have always been good at math, however, I was a little nervous to take statistics in college because I had never taken it in high school before. Although I was happily surprised that I was able to catch on quickly and learn the material easily. This class taught me the basics of statistics that will later be helpful in my nursing career. At times I struggled to see how what we were learning in class would be relevant later on, but we were given three written paper assignments to help with this connection. For these papers we were allowed to work in groups. Working in groups was very helpful and allowed us to communicate what each of us understood and connect the dots. This helped me learn what I was best at which was not only helping with the actual written report but also organizing the group meetings. As you can see in our written project we were connecting statistics to real world examples that happen everyday. I was happy with what I was able to learn in this statistics class and the new friends I made as I worked with my group to complete several assignments.
