CHEM 111

Chem 111, Foundations of Chemistry 1, was a pillar course that I completed the fall of 2019. I have always liked chemistry since high school and have found it interesting. I loved that I had the opportunity to take a college level chemistry course. Since I am a nursing student with the aspirations of becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, I will be needing a lot of chemistry later on. I feel this course was not the most challenging to complete, but it was a great review of basic concepts and I think this will help me to be successful with more advanced chemistry courses in the future. I enjoyed working on the labs with my fellow classmates and working with my professor to complete difficult problems. After completing this course I now feel I have a solid foundation with basic chemistry concepts.

This artifact shown below is my final lab report that we were to complete in this class. I found it very helpful that the professor broke down how to do the lab report into small sections. At the end when we were to put the full lab report together, I feel I learned a lot about how I could work through difficult problems to find solutions while conducting my labs. I now feel more confident as I continue to advance to higher level chemistry classes.
