GEOG 201

Basic Elements of Geography was not a class that I was looking forward to taking at the beginning of second semester freshman year. I was never the best at history and I was just hoping that it wouldn’t be too bad. The lectures in this class were different than I was used to being that it was mostly all pictures and the professor talking about them. Dr. Hardin made the lectures interesting though and I enjoyed learning new things about places all over the world.

Throughout the entire semester we were to complete Country Updates that went towards finishing our final projects. I was assigned the country Chile for my Country Profile. As we learned new things in class, these things correlated to things that we then had to find about our country. This really helped me to piece things together that made remembering the material a lot easier. It was amazing to learn so much about our world’s geography.
