MATH 301

Math 301, Applied Statistics??, was the second statistics course that I took at Longwood University. This was a good challenge for me for a couple different reasons. During Math 171, my professor taught a lot slower than my new professor did and she also called some of the terms different names than my first professor had. Some of my classmates had taken Math 171 with the same professor so at times I felt I was at a disadvantage than some of the other students. However, I worked hard to keep up with the new fast pace of the class. I have always been good at math so it was new to me to struggle with the subject. Another thing that was new to me was having free response test questions. I had never taken a math class that had all free response test questions and this made the course a lot more difficult. Studying for these tests were challenging, but after finally completing the course I feel more confident in myself and my ability to overcome challenges that are thrown at me during my educational journey at Longwood.

Below is an artifact of a group paper that we were to complete. Getting to work in groups on this assignment was extremely helpful because I was able to pair up with classmates who helped me to better understand the course material.
