I completed my internship in the Fall semester of 2021 at Bear Creek Lake State Park in Cumberland, VA. My supervisor during this internship was Tom Kneipp and my Longwood faculty supervisor was Dr. Lehman. Going into this experience, I was very nervous, as I was unsure what to expect and how it would go. Luckily, I significantly grew as a professional throughout this internship and was able to put knowledge gained from my major into real world use. Furthermore, I now plan to seek a career in this field after graduation and have made several contacts who want to help me on this journey. The artifact below is my final paper for this course. This assignment was the climax of my internship and discusses all the work I completed, as well as areas where I grew as a professional. Overall, this was perhaps my favorite experience since being in college and I am immensely thankful to Longwood and Bear Creek Lake State Park for providing me this opportunity.
Above is my final summary paper from this course. It is titled “Internship” and was written by myself, Tucker Marshall, on December 8, 2021. This assignment was chosen as it discusses all of my work and research done throughout my internship and it demonstrates my growth in the professional world.
