Introduction to Genetics and Cell Biology
I took Biology 250 in the Spring semester of 2021 with Dr. Consuelo-Alvarez. Prior to taking this course, I was very nervous. I had just started the biology major and was unsure how I would fare in that field. This course was, overall, very challenging for me, but as a result of that it made me better develop several skills. For example, I bettered my ability to write in a scientific manner and format, as well as further developed my lab skills. This course opened the door to a whole field of science I was unfamiliar with and I appreciate having learned it all as it with help me continue to grow and develop in the scientific community. The artifiact linked below is this course’s final paper. I have chosen this assignment as it demonstrates the area I grew the most in this course, scientific writing. This paper was a true challenge for me and I am proud of the final piece.

The artifact linked above is my final paper for this class. It is titled “Green Fluorescent Protein Expression from pGLO plasmid within Escherichia coli” and was written by myself, Tucker Marshall, on April 23, 2021. This paper was selected as it was the most challenging assignment in the class and thus allowed me to develop better writing and research skills. Additionally, it made me truly understand and appreciate all that goes into research and article development.
