Statistics is the only math course I will ever have to take in college. In high school, I took calculus and never took any courses based on the principles taught to n=me in statistics. At the beginning of the course, I struggled to grasp the concepts. I asked the teacher for help and instead of helping me, she told me to figure it out on my own. This was a learning curve for me as in high school, my teachers always tried to help me when I needed it. I wanted to do well in the course, so I persisted. I got a tutor and began doing practice problems daily. Soon my grade improved and my teacher even took notice. One of my proudest moment in this class was completing the final project and receiving an A on it. Although this class was difficult, it helped me to adjust to college-level learning and what is required of me.
