NURS 320 is the pharmacology course at Longwood. I decided to enhance this course so that I can learn more about the medications that go into treating patients. Throughout the course of the semester, I would research the different medications and learn how they affect patients. We covered many of their side effects and the effectiveness of their administration. At the end of the semester, I gave a presentation about “Chemo Brain”, which is a side effect of chemotherapy drugs. This topic is not well covered so my partner and I chose this topic to look into how it can directly affect patients and what could be done to help manage the effects.
