HONS-495: Love, Sex, Friendship

In this course, we studied the work of various philosophers, films, and literature in order to gain a better understanding of the nature and function of relationships as the foundation of our society. The various relationships we analyzed included romantic partnerships, friendships, communal bonds, and the relationship we share we everyone as humans. We were able to develop our own perspectives on the values of maintaining close human relationships.

The two reports I have included were argumentative in nature and focused on two of our units: friendships and erotic relationships. As part of our studies, we shared our own opinions about the pieces we read or watched in class and held discussions about what we agreed or disagreed on. These two assignments then forced us to look at our class materials more closely and express our own opinions about the philosophies we had learned about.
