MATH-301: Applied Statistics

This class expanded on what we had learned in MATH-171: Statistical Decision Making by diving further into hypothesis testing and confidence intervals. Such topics that were studied included correlation and linear regression, multiple linear regression, ANOVA test, and nonparametric tests. Once we had learned how to do each, we then learned how the various tests could be applied to real-world scenarios and how to use statistical computing software, RStudio.

One of the hypothetical scenarios that we analyzed in RStudio by conducting a two-sample T-Test revolved around the question of whether Cola sales were greater when the product was placed at the end of the aisle or in its normal spot somewhere within the aisle. Tests were conducted using data that was provided to us by our professor and the concluding report which I wrote on the analyses and conclusions I reached can be found below.
