As a nursing major and a member of the honors program, scholarship plays a big part of my life. I have a GPA requirement for both of these programs. Both of these programs are not made to be an easy A; they really make you think and work hard to prove that you belong in these elite classes. I am very appreciative of this. These classes make me work very hard, but it means that I am learning at a deeper level and have a great understanding of the lesson they are teaching. I also have a sense of accomplishment when I do well in these difficult courses. They show me that working hard to understand something or to do a project very well is lifelong skill that pushes me and therefore betters me as a person.
