Hi! My name is Leah Eick. I am in the Cormier Honors College of Longwood University. I am a nursing major with a philosophy minor. I was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, but I grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia. I attended Rustburg High School. I have always wanted to be in the medical field because I am fascinated by the human body and have a strong passion to help others live their best life. My goal is to obtain my BSN and then work as a nurse. After that, I plan on attending graduate school to obtain my doctorate, so that I can work as a Nurse Practitioner. After working as a nurse extern on the neurological ICU, I am hoping to continue working both as a nurse and later an NP in a neurological intensive care setting. I love running, playing with dogs, and reading and writing.
