Service involves going out into the community beyond education and volunteering to help others with a variety of tasks to improve the morale and quality of the community. Cormier Honors College applies this by encouraging students to volunteer in community service both around Longwood and the Farmville area.

I have participated in community service various times throughout my life, such as volunteering on church trips around the community (in Charlotte and Prince Edward Counties) to help individuals in need. At Longwood University, I have participated in nine hours of community service as of March 2020 through Longwood Printing. As I approach my graduation from Longwood University in May 2023, I plan to participate more in community service to give back to the community that has given so much to me!
