Precalculus

Picture of my worst test for this class, due to stress from online classes

Precalculus was easily the class that was most disrupted by Coronavirus for me. I had been holding steady A’s and B’s in the class on most of my assignments, to a 29/100 score on a test, as seen here in my artifact above. I ended up having to ask my professor for some outside help in order to pass the class with credit, so that I did not have to take precalculus again. While I did end up getting the credit for this class, my struggles in precalculus show that not everything is under your control. Sometimes things happen that are outside of your reach. That was Coronavirus in this case. I adjusted horribly to the online format, and both my grades and my mental health suffered a great deal as a result. For the first time in my life, I was truly confronted with a situation that affected my schooling, that was totally outside of my ability to control. It was very hard to work through and accept the fact that I could not control this, but it is important to accept this fact. In life, not everything will be under your control. Sometimes you could wish for a sunny day, and it ends up raining. Other times, you could get a flat tire on the way to an important job interview. Both of these events have differing consequences, but they were both out of your control, and that’s something we need to learn to accept.
