Intermediate Integrated Language and Culture I

While I performed surprisingly well in Spanish last semester, for this semester, it was an entirely different story. The increase in difficulty from my Spanish introduction class to the intermediate class was immense. I was struggling to keep up, and the only reason this class didn’t negatively affect my GPA was because I opted for the pass/fail option during the Coronavirus pandemic that shut down in-person classes, and even then, I’m positive that Coronavirus had a very negative impact on my learning this semester. Despite this shutdown, and my general struggles with the class. I continued to study hard, and I would like to show this in the form of my final essay for the class. This essay was an assignment that was used to test our overall knowledge of the course material. While adversity will hit you at some point during life, it’s important to continue to improve despite such adversity. My essay shows this. While there is definitely room for improvement, I’m proud for what I was able to accomplish in this project, and managed to do fairly well on this project with all of the studying and preparation I had done beforehand for this assignment. My efforts were not in vain, as can be seen. This course taught me that no matter what obstacles hit you, be they personal or public, you just need to keep pushing, and eventually you will see the fruits of your labor.
