Philosophy and Literature

This class taught me the importance of stress management. This class involved a lot of writing, especially for the larger assignments, like my artifact, or the final exam for this class. While I am not the best possible writer, when I do have a paper to write, I usually stress over it to the maximum, constantly rewriting and checking the paper, up to the point where I’ve rewritten the entire paper about a dozen times. Given that the class papers took up a lot of our overall class grade, I was having major stress and anxiety over these assignments. It got to the point for me where the stress was starting to pour over into my personal life, and my family even came to me to try and figure out what was bothering me so much. I saw that these papers were in a way, consuming my life. I ended up attempting to properly manage the stress these papers were causing me beyond copious amounts of caffeine, and I’ve been trying to get into this mindset for other aspects of my life. It has been a struggle to do so, but I think it’s been improving my own mental health lately.
