One pillar of the honors college is service. Through my first year I have tried to give back to the community around me as well as the community I grew up in. Through my first semester I found myself at FACES in order to help the hungry in the community. I also contributed to my community I grew up in by helping the theater that has groomed me into the person I am today. I believe that service allows for people to grow up into individuals that are unaffected by selfish ways.
