This was one of my required courses for nursing and it really gave me a different insight on child development. I babysit frequently and worked at a daycare for a few years, so this course helped me understand why children act the way they do, and also helped me understand certain things from my own childhood that made me the person I am today.
The highlight of this class for me was when we did the three ages project. We analyzed three different age groups and asked a series of questions to determine where they were developmentally. I asked two of my cousins and my friend in my dorm. Being able to talk with my younger cousins was nice, I don’t see them often, and I got to learn more about them and what they like to do. After taking this class I definitely have more knowledge regarding children and their psychological development.
