Hello, and welcome to my ePortfolio! My name is Catharine Forst, and I am currently a part of the Longwood University class of 2023. I choose Longwood due to the family like community and small hometown feel. I’ve always strived the best in this type of environment, and I knew it would help support me the best, both academically and athletically. The campus is beautiful and the people all throughout Farmville are incredible and continue to amaze me. To add on, I am a well driven student, and academics is a very important part of my life, as I am a member of the Cormier Honors College.
I was born and raised in Bristow, Virginia, which is located in NOVA. Throughout my early childhood and teen life, exercise and health has been a huge part of my values, alongside caring and helping others. One of my main hobbies includes sports. In fact, I am a part of the Longwood Women’s Soccer Team. Throughout my time at Longwood thus far, I decided to declare my major as Kinesiology due to my passions and goals in life. To add on, since caring for others is a passion of mine, and understanding why others behave and feel the way they do, is a huge interest of mine, I also choose to minor in Psychology. I think that the combination of Kinesiology and Psychology complement each other well and will create much success for me in my future. I would like to put my knowledge and hard work to good use, furthering my experience in the health care field with starting a summer internship, hopefully in a Pediatric Physical Therapy or Pediatric Occupational Therapy office. However, my future plans are not concrete because I am very excited to see where my life takes me and how much of an impact I can have on the world around me!
