I had never taken a music class before I took Music as an Agent of Change. I was nervous for this class, but the class turned out to not be bad at all. Dr. Kinzer knew that the majority of our class had no music background. The most challenging part of this class for me were the listening parts on exams. I found myself studying a lot harder before exams for the listening part of the exam than any other section on it. The easiest part of this class for me was memorizing the history of the music and musicians. It was a lot of studying, but our class was focused on music during the Vietnam War. It was awesome to hear and learn about the meaning of the lyrics behind some of the songs released then. If I had another opportunity to take another music class I would be all in.
