Crim 200

The material in Introduction to Corrections was easy to keep up with because Dr. Call’s power points were well organized and explained fully in class. I learned a lot of surprising things in this course about correctional facilities and their need for better funding. Before taking this class I had no idea how low funded most jails and prisons are. Most correctional officers do not last long because the job is low pay, stressful, and has strenuous hours. This was my first criminal justice class centered on a particular topic whether than the criminal justice system as a whole and I enjoyed it because I feel like I was able to take more from the class besides just general information about the system.

We were not required to write any full length papers for this course, but were task with mini writing assignments. Below is one of the writing assignment I did about incarceration.
