Inquiry into Citizenship 110 [CTZN 110]

My section of Inquiry into Citizenship 110 was called “Spaces for Seeing.”  This course taught me what citizenship can look like through various forms of art.  I learned to appreciate my surroundings, the effort, and thought that went into decorating that space.  This taught me to look for details and search for the underlying meanings in daily activities.  I was able to voice my personal thoughts and opinions to my peers through images and discussions while listening to their personal ideas and opinions.  Aside from citizenship, I learned that anyone can be an artist.  I have always thought I lacked in creativity, but this course allowed me to realize I was just lacking confidence to begin a creative project.  The final presentation for this course was to choose two photos to be included in a gallery representing global citizenship.  I found this to be my favorite project because I was able to incorporate my passion for dance into citizenship.  Overall, this course allowed for me to discover my beliefs and how I can use my abilities both local and globally.
