This history course provided to be especially interesting to me because I was able to find a deeper understanding of local history. Professor Meadows always shared interesting facts about the topic that I had never known. Although I grew up in Virginia, I do not recall learning about the smaller battles from the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. I gained more historical insight into the areas surrounding me. This course challenged me to provide factual information throughout my papers rather than explaining or summarizing a single event. I hope to enroll in another history class during my remaining time at Longwood.
