About Me:
Hi! My name is Amanda Patterson. I am from Springfield, Virginia and I graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary School in 2014. Throughout high school I was team captain of the varsity softball team, and an active member of Key Club(national volunteer organization).
I am currently attending Longwood University, where I am a nursing major within the Cormier Honors College. Also, I am a member of the Club Softball team, the Honors Student Association, the Nursing Honor Society, and the Student Nursing Association. I plan on graduating in May of 2018.
I am the President of the Student Nursing Association, and President of the Club Softball team. I have directed two of the campus’ Red Cross Blood Drives.
After Longwood University, I plan to enter a hospital or clinical setting where I can practice nursing. I do not know what field of nursing I plan to specialize in yet. However, after deciding which specialty I want to enter then I plan to earn my Master’s degree and become a nurse practitioner.
I love to help others and by becoming a nurse then I have the opportunity to pursue this goal!
