Art 213

Ceramics was the class I was most excited about before beginning my first semester at Longwood. I ended up loving the class, although it was a lot more difficult than I expected it would be. Even though we had a lot of time in class to work on assignments, I still ended up having to go into the studio for several extra hours each week. I made several pieces that I am quite proud of and the class taught me several things about art and how important it is to stick with something if you hope to get good at it. I am including a picture of one of the pieces from my final project. I was and am very proud of this piece because it turned out great and I was very excited to make it once the inspiration for it struck me. The piece is an avocado and the seed is Earth.
