This English 210 class fulfilled my requirement for the Civitae Foundations level course. Professor Mayer was the professor in charge. This course has been one that has broadened my mind in the literary world and has helped me gain a deeper understanding of the foundations of our society. The class included a lot of readings, podcasts, and educational videos, which provided insight into real-life examples of literary analysis and how it relates to our society. The course encouraged independent thinking and challenged me mentally. I learned a lot about the importance of my personal mindset and thinking to interpret literature and understand its role in shaping our society. The final consisted of bringing a literary analysis to Adam and Eve and exploring its conformity to obey in our society. Through communicating with classmates, it was amazing to see the wide variety and creativity of different literary analysis and how they relate to our society. Overall, I enjoyed this class as it broadened my mind about interpreting literature, understanding its relevance to society, and thinking independently.
