Hello! My name is Kayla Watts, and I am finally wrapping up my second year at Longwood University. I am from Halifax County, Virginia, and graduated high school in 2019 with my Associate’s Degree to try and stay ahead in college. I am a Business Administration major with an Accounting Concentration and Economics Minor on track to graduate in May 2022.

I have always known that I wanted to attend Longwood since I was ten years old not only because my dad and aunt both attended quite a few years ago but because of the atmosphere, the faculty, and the area. Farmville is and will always be a special place in my heart. My mom also works in the accounting and tax field and I have dreamed of following in her footsteps with this career, wearing fancy clothes, networking, and opening new doors, and so far Longwood has been more than I could have ever expected.

Since coming to Longwood, I have been very involved. I joined the business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, which has helped develop my professional skills and learn to network with those in the business field. I am also a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Lancer Productions, Cormier Consul, and also was an employee at the Dorrill Dining Hall and the Internal Auditing Office.
