Community

Community. This is a word that we hear during every speech, class, and lecture at Longwood University. This word is very important to our culture and how we live and learn on campus.

There are many different communities on campus and one I am involved in would be the Cormier Honors College. We act as a whole, even living in the same building during our freshman year. We form friendships that last years and accomplish goals together. The Honors College at Longwood, along with other clubs and organizations, form their own communities around campus that help each other in every way possible.

Longwood not only has communities in itself but also helps the community of Farmville strive by picking up trash, having fundraisers in local places, and keeping the town alive and thriving. Community is one of the largest aspects of Farmville and the Cormier Honors College.
