My study abroad experience was not typical, but I am very glad for the opportunity that I was given. Because of COVID-19, I was not able to study abroad as planned, in Costa Rica, but instead was given the option to take an honors directed study class during the Spring 2022 semester.

Throughout this class we were able to talk and communicate with Dutch students from the Netherlands on zoom. Our main assignment was coming up with a new social innovation that would help the world achieve their climate change goals. We were split into groups of two American and two Dutch students and had to navigate time changes and challenges to work on this project.

For my artifact, I have included our infographic. Besides the infographic, we also made a trailer and a podcast for this assignment. Besides this one large assignment, we also did interviews with each other to learn more about the culture!
