Biomedical Ethics

This class has by far been my favorite class that I have taken at Longwood.  I’ve always taken an interest in learning and discussing ethical issues, and this class far surpassed my expectations.  As a nursing student, this class helped me to identify my beliefs on topics such as abortion and paternalism, both of which I will likely face in my career, and how to understand and evaluate the viewpoints of others.  This will help in my ability to treat and understand patients.  The ability of this class to really make me think and reflect on what I believe and why I believe it was very helpful and insightful for me.  This class will be one that will surely help me beyond just the classroom, and even beyond my career.

This is an evaluation that I wrote about how this class challenged my beliefs and helped me to understand difficult topics more as an individual.
