Hi!  My name is Anna Schmied, and I am a Nursing major.  I am from Newport News, Virginia.  I just finished my first year as a part of the Cormier Honors College!  I have always had a fascination about the medical field, only further enhanced by many episodes of Untold Stories of the ER.  As I thought about what I wanted in a school and a future career, Longwood’s Nursing Program stood out to me as the perfect fit.  After obtaining my BSN, I hope to work in a Labor and Delivery department.  Then, I plan to continue my education and become a Nurse Practitioner.  I cannot wait to continue my journey at Longwood!  Go Lancers!
