French 211

When I first started this class, I was very intimidated.  I hadn’t taken French in a year, and I felt like I had forgotten everything I knew.  However, after a week or so, it all started coming back to me and I realized that I would get through it.  We learned not only about vocabulary and grammar but also about French culture.  This class also strengthened my confidence in conversing in French, something that I had not had much practice of during high school.

This is the last paper I had to write for the class.  This was the first paper I got back that had no revisions, and I was very shocked and proud of how far I’d come.  When the class started, I was almost certain it would be too difficult, but I wound up learning and improving dramatically.  This paper was written about my future career as a nurse!
