NURS 350: Maternal and Newborn Nursing

NURS 350, Maternal and Newborn Nursing, was one of my favorite nursing courses that I took throughout my four years at Longwood. This class covered the processes of pregnancy and birthing. We discussed the entire process, from conception to care of infants. I decided to enhance this class in order to receive honors credit. I did extensive research on respiratory distress syndrome in neonates. I was particularly interested in the topic, as I am interested in eventually working in the neonatal intensive care unit, and many of these neonates have respiratory distress syndrome.
