Citizen 110

The Citizen 110 course I took during my first semester at Longwood was Social Entrepreneurship. What this meant was we were brought together into groups and spent the whole semester coming up with something to solve a world issue. My group chose healthcare and as we narrowed it down, we actually chose to focus on students here at Longwood who may not have access to certain medical needs. We came up with the idea of BOXE, a care package that students could order shaped to their needs of whether or not they had cold or flu symptoms or just a regular stomach ache. Students would be able to order BOXE through our website we designed that is super user friendly! We pitched the idea to our class at the end of the semester as part of our final project and got great feedback on how to improve our product as well as get it out to students here at Longwood. Overall it was a great class and I would recommend Professor Dolence to anyway no matter what class it is!

For my artifact I chose to attach my final reflection on our product as well as the class as a whole! As I state in the paper I was not too sure if the class was going to be a good fit for me but it ended up being a great choice!
