Comm101, was amazing! I walked into that class on the first day super nervous as I was unsure about taking a public speaking course but as soon as Professor Sweet started talking about the course I knew I made the right decision. Taking this course has turned me into a better speaker as I know how to prepare, make eye contact, and keep my audience engaged while getting my point across. This class filled my global citizenship pillar and I was able to receive a great grade at the end so I was very happy! Professor Sweet was an awesome teacher and just like every other professor I have met here at Longwood she was always willing to help! When we transitioned to online we had to submit all of our speeches through video and Professor Sweet was great at adapting to that! I thoroughly enjoyed taking this class and would recommend it to anyone looking to grow their public speaking skills!
