One of the first classes that I attended at Longwood University was the L-SEM class. As a freshman in college, everything was so new and scary. This seminar acted as a stepping stone into the college life. I learned how to navigate this school and tips on how to be successful in my four years here. The most beneficial aspect of this course was the close interactions that I had with the professor and other classmates. Many classes we would just sit around and talk about our lives and how this transition into college was going. This made this transition into college so much easier.

Below I have added an essay I wrote in this Longwood Seminar. This writing assignment was a reflection on an event that shaped me into the person I am today.
