BIOL 324-50

Genetics:

In this class, I learned about the different ideal of molecular genetics;  emphasizing on the nature of hereditary material, gene transmission and expression, linkage and recombination, and gene action and regulation. Through this honors class, I was given the opportunity to do further research in genetics. We studied heavy metals and how they are substantial water contaminants. Lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic are a few metals that we studied because of their effect on human health. We digested, ligated, and transformed the different metal promoters to prepare them for water contamination testing.
I have attached the poster that my group and I made to present our findings.
