Introduction to Psychology:

In this class, we learned about the theories, methods, and applications of psychology. At the end of this class I understood the ways psychology and culture have influenced each other, as well as the application of psychological principles and ideas to contemporary issues. Not only did we learn about cultural aspects of psychology, we also focused on personality, emotional, and social development; psychological disorders and treatment; cognitive processes and abilities; direct and indirect influences on thoughts, feelings, and behavior; and health, stress, and coping.

One of the assignments that we did multiple times throughout the semester was called Hypothetical Experiments. Our professor would provide the class with an experiment and we would have to give a in-depth analysis of it. This assignment helped my analyze different research and experiments in the psychology field, which I really enjoyed since I do a lot of research as a biology major.
