BCM

My biggest fear I had before arriving at Longwood University was not having a group of friends or a community that I could belong to. I am a pretty reserved person, so naturally I was worried that I wouldn’t find the right group to “fit in” with. All of that fear disappeared as soon as I started to go to the Baptist Collegiate Ministry on Thursday nights. Everyone was super friendly, and within a matter of weeks I got to know everyone there. Pretty soon I no longer found myself worrying if I would have friends to hang out with on weekends or people that I could always turn to for help. Everyone there has more or less gone through exactly what I have went through at one point, so they can relate to certain issues. BCM has also kept my busy throughout the week, ranging from small group studies to church retreats. In short, BCM is my home away from home.
