General Physics I
Senior year, Fall 2022:
Physics 120 was so great all because of the professor. I have heard such great things about Dr. Ross and was so excited to take his class because of his passion for physics. I sat in the front right beside Dr. Ross and really got the opportunity to talk to him when we had class and get to know him as a person. He is kind, funny, and really still has the will to live and live well. That is something really hard to find in Farmville these days.
I liked physics in high school but we had a larger class size and it really overwhelmed the teacher so it was a lot of meditation rather than teaching. Dr. Ross however has lots of experience with larger class sizes and his PowerPoint was super self explainable however his tests were really the luck of the draw. He would either make them purposefully super hard or super easy. With the hard ones, you could study all you wanted but if you weren’t a good test taker you were put in a really hard situation because some of the concepts can be made a lot more complicated when combined.
I learned to not second guess myself in this class because I went to all the classes and paid attention and took really great notes. On tests, I tend to second-guess myself but the one time I did not I ended up getting a really great grade, a 90!
