Comprehensive Human A & P I
Junior Year, Fall 2021:
Anatomy one was my first night class ever. It was right during dinner time so I had to make sure I ate a light dinner beforehand so my stomach would not growl so loud the rest of the class could hear. I loved this class. I had taken anatomy in high school but this class was so much more in-depth and since high school, I valued the information I learned a lot more. Dr. Ludwar made this class fun and enjoyable, he was funny, lighthearted, and understood what information would actually help us in the future. From this class, I learned that memorization of the human anatomy is interconnected with amazing realizations of how incredibly complex and intricate the body can be. There is still so much we don’t know. Why do we have dreams, who knows? It is so interesting how oral health is interconnected with heart health and so much more. What is put into your body affects everything and the stuff we are eating these days is far from the high standard we should hold our food. I am excited to learn more about anatomy and physiology in part two with Dr. Jackson!
In the lab, we did a lot of hands-on activities to understand how the body works. For my artifact, I have attached my project looking at different types of fingerprints. In class, we all recorded our fingerprints. At first, it was very hectic but I took lead and helped everyone get their fingerprint in and done right and save them to a box drive so everyone could complete their projects efficiently. In my study, I compared height to ridge density. The taller the subject the lower the ridge density.
