LIFESTEM Seminar 1
Freshman year, fall 2019:
In LIFESTEM Seminar 1 I did not know what quite to expect but was pleased with the curriculum this class presented. It was so comforting to come together with all the other LIFESTEM scholars and help each other through our first semester of college. We all supported and gave information to the others when we felt lost in our busy schedules. I also greatly enjoyed all of the guests that came to speak to our class, giving us knowledge about research opportunities and amenities on campus.
The previous cohorts came in to talk to us about the research they really made me feel more comfortable with the unexplored territory of research. All other questions that we could think of were answered. They also opened up about more things such as housing off-campus and club involvement.
I took the concept that no one should ever be able to ask questions if they feel confused or are just curious because no question is pointless and probably more people than you are thinking the same thing.
This is my artifact, it was one of my many goal timelines completed in that class.
