Freshman year, Spring 2020:
Organic chemistry was sincerely one of the most challenging classes throughout this semester. I am so thankful that it is finally over and I get the change to have a summer break. I couldn’t have done as well as I did without Dr. Yeagley, he was so patient and motivating that he motivated me to do my best every single day. I honestly would go to his office hours every day, and in fact tours the end of the semester I decided to join one of his Chemistry classes for extra help and I truly believe that it gave me more resources as well as more practice to succeed on the quest.
Even though Dr. Yeagley had office hours and practice quest, it was always up to me to take advantage of those resources that he provided. I would honestly practice and review the old quest about 3 to 4 times per week before we had our quest day. Also, on top of practicing the old quest, a group of 4 friends and I will always zoom a day before the quest to teach one other what we have learned and practice more before the quest. This was one of the best skills that a group of my friends and I gained to succeed in organic chemistry.
Overall, organic chemistry was tough but it was all worth it at the end. I learned and gain so much from this class as well as gain new study skills to succeed in the future. Chemistry is one of the most difficult courses but not impossible to learn it.
