MATH 171

Freshman year, spring 2020: Statistical Decision Making 171

This class was honestly one of my least favorite classes.  The professor that I choose was a new professor at Longwood and he also seemed very young, which made him very chill to talk to, but at the same time, it made him kind of difficult to take him fully seriously. I personally believe that I gained a lot of knowledge about what statistical decision is about, but I was able to do so threw extra research and help that I gain from other classmates. I personally don’t believe that the professor that I choose was one of the greater.  He showed very few interests in finding ways to accommodate my inconvenience of going to his office hours when I clearly had class during the period.  Thankfully,  I had a couple of friends that were able to help one other, but most of all I had a friend who had already take stats in the past and she was the real hero in my story.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the professor that I had for Math 171 to anyone. Even though I earned an A in the class, I put twice the amount of work into my homework compared to any of my classmates since I was unable to make it to his office hours.

The following is a final project on a Statistical Investigation of Student Responses in a Longwood University Survey:
