Holá and Welcome!!
Hello everyone and welcome to my e-portfolio. I am glad that you decided to stop by, please don’t hesitate to look around. My name is Jacqueline Amaya Hernandez. I am from Alexandria, Virginia, and I am a first-generation student attending college. I am currently a senior biology major in the Cormier Honor College and LIFE STEM Program with a plan to attend medical school. In the upcoming year, I am planning to become either a scribe to gain more clinical knowledge or work in a research lab in Washington D.C.
During my time at Longwood, I have had the opportunity to study abroad and do research at Yellowstone National Park. Also, was a part of the PRISM program which allowed me to do research during the summer on Epigenetically Heritable Effects of Maternal Behavior in Rats. Additionally conducted research on whether or not certain daily food contained GMO or Non-GMO. Lastly served in multiple leadership positions in both multicultural organizations and student government associations.
As you click through my site, you will find various information, including professional documents, reflections, and artifacts from my former classes. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at jacqueline.amayahernandez@live.longwood.edu!
