2022 JMU Shenandoah Undergraduate Mathematics and Statistics Conference

I presented my research that I conducted during the Longwood Perspectives on Research in Science and Mathematics program at the 2022 James Madison University Shenandoah Undergraduate Mathematics and Statistics Conference. The conference was held at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The research topic was determining the maximum surface area of a polytope with eight vertices inscribed in the unit sphere and I conducted the research with Dr. Steven Hoehner and Nicolas Freeman. Dr. Hoehner was able to attend this conference with me and provide me with support.

I applied to attend the Conference and was accepted in September of 2022. I then traveled to James Madison University and presented on October 29th. This was a tremendous learning experience because of both being able to view the posters of other presenters and gaining the experience of presenting on academic research. The picture below shows me standing with my research poster.
