The moment I stepped on campus with the car packed to the brim I knew that this would be the place I called home. As it was pouring and thundering, several honors mentor students ran to the car eager to help bring my belongings up to my room. Through all of the chaos of the weather, there was not one individual that didn’t have a smile on their face will to help out. In that moment, I knew Longwood was more than a school, it was even more than a community, it was a family.
As my first year progressed, I continued noticing moments when the family would come together in support of each other where that be within the Farmville community or even in another place across the globe.
As for Honors in particular, we stand tall and strong as citizen leaders. We have a community within a community and for that I am grateful. I know I am able to reach out to anyone of my honors peers and have a helping hand.
I am excited to see how I can get more involved within the Longwood community as my time here progresses
